The same sequence every time, with a written scope and a fixed price before any code is written. You will always know where the project is and what happens next.
Typical small site runs three to five weeks end to end.
What it needs to do, who uses it, and what success actually looks like. Free.
A written document — pages, features, timeline and a fixed price. Nothing starts without it.
Layout and visual direction first. Approved before a single line of code is written.
Front-end, back-end and content, with a working preview link you can check any time.
Devices, browsers, speed and forms. Two rounds of revisions are included.
Domain, SSL, email, analytics — live and handed over with a walkthrough.
Indicative only — every project is quoted properly after the first conversation.
Half at the start, half on launch. For longer projects it is split across milestones. Maintenance, if you want it, is billed separately and monthly — never bundled in to inflate the headline number.
Five things worth asking, answered without the sales voice.
A single page, one to two weeks. A business site, three to five. Applications depend entirely on scope. These are realistic numbers given that this runs alongside a taxation practice and three degrees — I would rather quote four weeks and deliver in four than promise two and miss.
Two rounds of revisions are included at design stage and two at build stage. Beyond that, or if the scope genuinely changes, it is quoted separately and openly. Nobody gets an invoice they did not see coming.
Completely. The domain is in your name, the hosting account is yours, and you get all the files and credentials. If you want to move to another developer later, everything hands over cleanly. No lock-in of any kind.
Thirty days of free bug fixing after launch — if something breaks that should not have, it gets fixed at no cost. Beyond that, maintenance is an optional monthly arrangement covering updates, backups and small changes.
You can supply it, or it can be written for you — copywriting is part of what this does, and writing is not a side skill here. Images you either provide or we source. Either way it is agreed in the scope document before the build begins, so nothing stalls halfway.
Not what it should look like — what job it has to perform. Everything else follows from that, and the first conversation costs nothing.
See what is being built this week, how a site comes together, and what a business actually needs online. Five case studies are on the portfolio.
